Cleveland Survey #6 - WKYC - 7/9/1965

Less than a month after changing their call letters from KYW to WKYC, the Sound 11 Survey for July 09, 1965 was issued. The backside of the survey feature the WKYC V.I.P.s

Martin and Howard 6-10am

Jay Lawrence 10am - 2pm

Don Brink 2 - 6:30pm

Jerry G 7-10pm

Rolling Stones top the Sound 11 Survey again this week with "Can't Get No Satisfaction."

Eight British performers appear on the survey either in the top 22 or as a VIP (Very Important Premiere), but you won't anything by The Beatles.

Cher has a really cool jangly version of "All I Really Want To Do." The James Gang would later cover her version of the song.

A now forgotten record from the girl group The Ginger Snaps appears as a V.I.P. Released on Dunhill Records, "The Sh-Down Down Song" was penned by the duo of P.F. Sloan and Steve Barri, the same duo that were known as The Fantastic Baggys and later the original Grass Roots.

As The Fantastic Baggys, Sloan and Barri backed up Jan & Dean on "The Little Old Lady From Pasadena."
