The lost, the forgotten, and the classics live here!

Hello, friends! Jumpin' Joe's Basement Show now has an official website,!

I'm Jumpin' Joe, and every week I invite you to hang out down in the basement with me as I spin the lost, the forgotten, and the classics of the 1960s and early 1970s.

This ain't your ordinary "oldies show." I don't play just the hits. I play the local and regional hits that never charted nationally, and the records that should have been hits.

My goal is that you'll learn something new, and that you'll hear something that makes you wanna crank that volume knob all the way up to 11! Many of you have been with me since day one of this show, and many more have been with me since my beginnings at WJCU back in 2003. I thank you for tuning in.

For years I've only had the facebook page, but with political mudslinging clogging up feeds, many of you are logging off, assuming you had a page to begin with. For those of you without Facebook, you now have a place where you can stay connected and listen to an archived show!

Post your request in the comments, or call me on the basement studio line at 440-941-7075. I look forward to hearing from you!

Keep it cranked to 11!

Joe, In case you have not heard the story about Ciindy by The Temptations. Cindy was supposed to be releases as a single. The lead singer was David Ruffin. But before the release, he left The Temptations to go solo. A great song, but it remains only an album cut on the LP, I Wish It Would Rain. This story was heard by me, from the great Philadelphia deejay, Harvey Holiday.
