Starting today, Jumpin' Joe gives you the chance to name the "Mystery Record."
Every week, Jumpin' Joe will play a record from his collection, and it's up to you to come up with the artist and song title. There are no prizes, but Jumpin' Joe will say your name on the radio!
Hey! Who doesn't like getting mentioned on the radio?
December 17 will be the final regular show of the year, and Jumpin' Joe will count down his top 10 discoveries of the year 2021. After years of digging through boxes and boxes of records, there are still more to be found!
Jumpin' Joe's Basement Show will air on Christmas day! You are invited to attend the Basement Christmas Party as Jumpin' Joe plays all the good Christmas records. Those listening on WJCU will also be treated to an encore of the WMMS Christmas Carol.
The first show of 2022 will air on New Years Day as Jumpin' Joe plays "The Firsts on the First," as he plays the first versions of some of your favorite records. For example, we all know The Kingsmen's classic version of "Louie Louie," but the first version was recorded by Richard Berry in 1957. You will be surprised how many of your favorite songs are actually cover songs!
Before you know it, WJCU Radiothon '22 will be here!
